My Love/Hate Relationship with Traveling
Do you do much traveling for either business or pleasure? Almost all of my traveling is for business. Last year I spent 16 days on the road, 8 in 2004, 4 in 2003, 37 in 2002, and 139 in 2001, so it comes and goes. Most of my traveling has been in the US. This year will probably exceed last year. I have a love/hate relationship with traveling.
Loves:
1. I like to go to new places, see new things, experience life in other cultures. I've been to places I would not have ever thought about going otherwise or taken the time to do so.
2. Beer hunting - finding new brewpubs and tasting regional beers.
3. I like traveling by plane. Sure, there are inconveniences (e.g., long lines at the airport, delayed flights, bothersome passengers), but its a pretty cool way to travel.
4. Eating regional cuisine in its indigenous location. I mean, I could order some bar-b-q sauce from places in Texas and cook with it at home (e.g., Rudy's and Stub's), but there's nothing like eating it at the restaurant itself along with a regional microbrew.
5. Its an opportunity to crossdress more so than at home. I bring some clothes with me and also go shopping while I'm there for new women's clothes. After work, I can go out complelety dressed in women's clothes and not have to worry about running into someone I know. I can be a little more daring in showing off my clothes - dangling a shoe shows off my stockinged foot, wearing clothes that are much more feminine in the details.
6. I can masturbate freely without being interrupted for as long as I want! And believe me, I can edge for hours. Sure, it sounds like a complete waste of time, but its one way to relieve all the pent up stress. More times than I can remember I've checked into the hotel, showered, put on some nice lingerie, got out a few issues of Leg Show that I brought along, connected to the web to surf for porn, and stroked for 3-6 hours. I'd take breaks for ordering room service and bio breaks. I'd be pretty much exhausted by the end.
7. Filling up my passport with stamps.

1. I don't sleep very well in hotels - the beds aren't comfy, the temperature controls aren't great, noisy people in the hall.
2. I hate eating by myself in restaurants and room service usually isn't that good. If I can I'll eat at the bar of a restaurant and talk to the bartender.
3. Experiencing all of these new places and not having anyone to share them with while doing so. Sure, I could take pictures and buy postcards to tell the folks at home all about it. Its a lot more fun traveling with others and being able to talk to someone who's shared the experience.
4. Jet lag on the longer trips.

Pedometers
Does anyone use a pedometer regularly? Its a small gadget that is worn on the waist that counts the number of steps taken as a way to measure physical activity. They say that one should take at least 10,000 steps per day to stay in shape. I've been wearing one for about the last nine months and I keep a daily log of the results. Sure, sounds kind of boring and geeky to keep track of the number of steps I take everyday, one could even say its a bit obsessive. I've found, however, that its a good gauge of how I physically feel. On days that I've hit 10,000 and beyond, I feel good - more energetic, more upbeat, I sleep better. On lesser days, quite the opposite - sluggish, dull, on edge. Since I've started my new job in December, my daily steps has gone down significantly and I can really tell the difference. Argh! I run about twice a week. That adds to that day's total and brings it well over 10K. Weekly totals are down, however. I know what I need to do - walk more every day. I just need to go out there and do it!

Condoms?
Anyone regularly use condoms? I do. It is our preferred method of birth control. Just the thought of someone snipping my pipes is enough to make me nauseous. And neither of us wants her on the pill. Sure, millions take it, but why take a drug if it is not needed. That's all I want to say about that - I have no interest in starting a debate about birth control methods.
What I do want to talk about is the variety of condoms available out there. All puns certainly intended. I raise the subject because we need more and, instead of going down to the local drugstore and picking from their limited variety, I did a search on the Web. I found a multitude of them. For all the bumps, ridges, over-sized ends, twisted ends, thin walls, thick walls, and lubricants, has anyone noticed any difference in the sensations they do or do not generate?
I've used smooth, ribbed, and studded. I'm not sure I've noticed any difference, and neither has she. The problem, as I see it, is that it is very difficult to measure the sensations. I mean, I'm not sure I'd be able to start having sex with one style, stop before climax, change to another, go at it a few more minutes, stop, change, repeat, all the while thinking about if this one is better than the last. That's a hard thing to do. My stamina isn't all that staminous, so to speak. "Stop moaning, I'm trying to concentrate!" And trying to remember differences between them on separate days would be tough to.
I suppose we could slip the various types on a dildo and have her try them out, if she were willing to do so. That brings on another set of variables - can she feel the first one more because she's just starting and not too wet, or does the second or third one feel better because she's getting closer to climax? I Need to Post More
I remember way back in high school (Class of '85!) that one of my English teachers recommended that we keep a journal and write in it every day. She said that it didn't matter what we wrote, just as long as we did. That's what I should be doing here, not just waiting for something "significant" to occur and the write about it. I've been doing too much reading of everyone else's blogs and not adding to my own.
So what's happening today? My office at work is temporarily in a trailer, a "quadruple" wide. When I first moved in it was mostly empty and people were moving out. Today many people moved in and it is quite full. Not much of a problem as I have a corner office with a door.
A few years ago a bought an Apple eMac. Its still running like new! The game "Otto Matic" was pre-loaded on to it. I'm not much of a game player, never really was. In the last few years I've probably only played it for about 30 minutes total. Lately, though, I've been spending a lot more time on it. I found the cheat codes and am finding it a lot more interesting - its a lot less frustrating to play when you can reload you life when needed. (Hmmm, now only if there were a way to have infinite-length orgasms at the push of a button! I think society would quickly spiral downward as people just sit and enjoy themselves all day long.)

More Thoughts on Photography
Many people post pictures of themselves on various states of undress. I've posted a couple photos in this blog, and I've thought about posting more. Setting the timer, running over to pose, and then checking if it was a decent photo just doesn't do it for me. Having taken enough photos during my life, I find it easier to tell someone to "stand there, look that way, turn, smile!" and take the picture than to be the subject of the photo. I can see how to frame the shot.
As the subject of a self-photo its difficult to see how I would look in the photo, or even the position that looks best. Then once I do take the photo, I have to move to look at it. If it didn't come out right, its tough to go back to that same position and move whatever needs moving.
So the best alternative is to have someone else take them. And me being the perv that I am, it couldn't be just anyone snapping away. This is especially true of taking pictures outdoors in semi-public places. They'd have to be someone that knows to take the vanilla pictures, then move into the kinky ones - poses that elicit an erotic response to the viewer.

Reading Other Blogs
I've been reading a lot of other people's blogs lately, not just those listed to the right. All of them have been related to sex in some way. I'm just a very curious and horny guy and there seems to be no shortage of sex-related blogs. The sex that people are having or not having is very intriguing. I guess I'm living vicariously through them. I haven't been keeping track of every site that I've been to, so forgive me for not specifying the sites.
One blog is from a couple that allows the wife to regularly have sex with a couple other men while the husband watches, i.e., a cuckold. I've heard about these types of relationships before, and it is very interesting. I could not share my SO with another. However, the thought of being teased by her is very arousing. I'm a submissive person and being a cuckold is a very submissive position to be in. Yes, I know what you are thinking, "Sheen if you are an exhibitionist, why don't you post more pictures on your site?" perhaps I will, but taking a decent selfportrait is not the easiest thing, especially if you want something interesting.
I've been looking for more blogs written by crossdressers. I've only found two others so far. If you know of any, pass them along. The one listed near the bottom right is a very well written blog. The writer is somewhat similar to me - mid-life, heterosexual. His wife seems to be much more accepting of him and his clothes. I wish my SO were as well. I'd love to be able to openly dress in the women's clothes that I have and buy more. By 'openly' I mean not having to keep my clothes hidden and her jsut accepting them as ordinary clothes. I'd never dress amongst our friends & family. Anyway, my women's clothing consists of bras, panites, camisoles, hosiery, jeans, pants, blouses, and shoes. I'm not one to go all out and wear a wig with make-up and a dress/skirt and try to pass as a woman.
Oh well, time to stop rambling for now. I guess the long and short of it is that, no matter how much (or not) that we're getting, or how good or bad it is, it is good to know that there are a lot of others going through the same thing.

New Year, New Post
Hi everyone! Hope everyone had a safe and happy New Year.
My holidays were pretty good. We originally planned to stay home for Christmas then drive out to my parent's home until New Year's day. However, the stomach virus that is making its rounds in our area hit her on the 23rd and me on the 26th. We decided to stay home rather than spread the bug to the rest of my family. It was nice to stay home all week. I think this was the longest stretch of vacation I've had in almost 5 years.
Now that its a new year, I'm in a reflective mood about my blog. It seemed to start off pretty strong as I was writing a lot about myself. Many people would read it and leave comments. Now that a lot of that has been said, I'm running out of things about which to write. Posts have been fewer and readership is down. Its a good thing I'm not being paid on a per-view or comment basis! I haven't found that 'thing' that keeps people coming back.
I need ideas. My everyday life is kind of boring. Work takes up a lot of my time. I haven't had a lot of time to have much fun lately. Crossdressing has taken a back seat, way in the back. If it weren't for wearing panties everyday, and the occasional pantyhose, I'd have to turn in my union card. (What I really feel like doing is getting out to the Victoria's Secret semi-annual sale and splurge on some new bras, panties, and stockings, then buy some new pants and shoes!)

Christmas Vacation

Some Thoughts
Some random thoughts of current events:
1. The new job. So far, so good! Everyone here is very nice and friendly. It is a smaller department and we're all focused technology transfer. The building in which I work is shared between three other companies. There are some cute women, but not as many as the previous job where there were just tons of them. At the last job, the sales and marketing departments were in the same building, and there were a lot of co-ops. Nothing like new eye candy every three months!
2. Christmas memories. I was out driving Thursday night listening to a radio show that I had taped back in 1984, "The Police at Christmas" as broadcast on WMMS 100.7 in Cleveland, Ohio. I've always been a big fan of The Police and I hadn't listened to the tape in a few years. It's a little worn, but still a great listen! I used to listen to it every year around Christmas, and it brought back a lot of memories from high school. Its not the same station now as it was back then. Cleveland Rocks!!
3. Sex. Haven't had any in a couple of weeks. "Aunt Flow" is visiting our household this past week. I really need it. She doesn't like me to have my own solo time, and I feel guilty if I'm always asking her for a good foot job. But I mean, she's gives great foot! They usually start out when we're watching TV in our PJ's. I start out taking her slipper off and giving her feet a nice long massage with her legs on my lap. I'll then move up to work on her calves and thighs. By this time her feet have found their way into my boxers and she's rubbing me between the sole of one foot and the top of the other. Then off come the panties and boxers. I'll lay on the couch in front of her and so she can have better access. It feels good when she uses her toes to rub just under my balls. Sometimes I think I could lay like that for hours on end it feels sooo incredible! If she's a bit too aggressive, then she gets some 'lotion' on her feet. A New Post!
Finally, what you've all been waiting for - a new post! Ta da! Ok, so it may not be all that its hyped up to be, but here's what has been going on lately:
1. A new job! In September I sent my resume in for a position at another operating company in the big conglomerate where I work. I had an interview in October, and they offered me the position just as the big shutdown started. I accepted and start there on Monday!! Its a promotion and a pay raise! It will involve some travel, so stay tuned for stories.
2. Ran in the Philadelphia Marathon on 11/20. My first day off after 11 straight 12-hour days of work. The marathon has a team relay event where 4 people each run legs of 10, 4, 6, and 6.2 miles. I ran the 6.2 mile leg for our team. My first time participating in a marathon, and I'm very happy with my performance as well as our team's. Hmm, now do I want to actually run the entire length someday? Not sure. It was a lot of fun hanging out with all the other people who were in the relay before our turn. I'd have to devote a lot of time for training that I'm not sure I want to commit. I've run more this year than any in the past 20 years of running, so who knows?
3. Thanksgiving. Had a great time not having to travel anywhere as all of my family came to my house for turkey day. All had fun and plenty to eat.
4. Haven't had any time to do any crossdressing other than undergarments. I'm starting to feel the need to get back to doing more. The holiday season is a great time to go shopping as there are lots of sales and its easier for a guy to buy women's clothes as well.
