Spring isn't the only thing springing up...

I know, I haven't posted much lately. Work has been very busy and I've been putting a lot more time into running in the off hours than before. I've signed up for a marathon in the fall as well as three half-marathons in the mean time, so I'm running 5 days a week.

This has meant that I've not had much time to engage in crossdressing activities - shopping, dressing up, going out. It does not mean that the interest and yearning to do so has subsided, not at all! With spring and summer fashions out in stores and women dressing for the warmer weather, I'm just as in to it as ever. JamieLin recently wrote a post about crossdressing and running, something I've dabbled in a bit. During a trip to Miami last year I wore a pair of women's running shorts, a women's tank top, and those socks with the fuzzy ball on the back while running. It was not as big a deal as it might seem as it was already dark out when I ran. I don't think anyone really noticed. Another time I wore a blue running bra under a white shirt, and again, not a big deal as it was at night. I'd love to either run in a running dress or skirt in the daytime. SkirtSports has the best women's athletic wear that I've seen. An outfit from there would be divine! The only problem I can foresee is that I'd be so giddy I'd probably have a boner poking out, lol! It might be more accepted if I wore a big fuzzy pink wig, too. BTW, there's a guy that's been running marathons all over the country for years in a pink ballet tutu, not so much for crossdressing's sake and more for the humor aspect I think.

Hmm, the more I think about it, the more I want to do it. A skirt, a shimmel, and some girly running socks (knee-hi compression socks with stripes! or these. Probably not women's shoes, though, as they'd be murder on my feet, lol! Gotta run....

Five days a week is a lot of training Sheen. Rest is important too. It's not total load that's important, but one long run every couple weeks. That is five 8 mile runs per week isn't going to get you to the finish line. Three 3 mile and one 20 miler will.

Obviously a huge simplification, but I can't emphasize enough the importance of the long training runs. I learned the hard way. Through experience. I suffered at the wall in several marathons before I figured this out.

Go ahead and get yourself a skort. You've earned it.

I checked out that link Sheen, they do have some cute things. Let us know if or when you do go out and do some day time running in some women's clothes, would love to read all about it.

Mikey - Do tell more about it!

JamieLin - Thanks for the advice. A girl I run with occasionally gave me her training schedule for the marathons she's run, and we're about the same ability. Fingers crossed!

Badside - I certainly will!

About the same ability as a girl, huh? Are we still talking about running?

The site you suggest is great...skirtsports. The variety is fantastic. I've just been looking at gym skirts with Charlotte.

I love your blog.
