Marathon Training

A few weeks ago I started training for my second marathon that will be in June. So far, so good.  Just like last year one of the key obstacles is to avoid getting a cold during training or at the time of the marathon.  I would have performed better last year had I not caught a cold the week before the race.  Fingers crossed.

I also have one new piece of gear that should help on race day.  During a race of this length runners typically need to carry some form of nourishment, be it gels or other food.  I used a small fanny pack which didn't really work too well.  When the pack was positioned in back it kept wanting to rotate to the front, no matter how tight/loose I made it.  When it was in the front it kept bobbing up and down, much to the dismay of my bladder.  I recently found a nice little band that is more elastic, has space for storing gels on the sides, and a much smaller pouch. I'll test it when my training runs go longer than 12 miles, which is pretty soon.

As I mentioned in my last post, Nike has some really nice women's running clothes.  In my opinion men's running clothes are too long and baggy.  On hot days they really don't do much to keep one cool.  Women's running clothes are form fitting and shorter.  Its tough to combine crossdressing and running.  I mean, unless one has a very feminine figure, it tough to hide a male body in a t-shirt and shorts. And a wig and makeup would certainly not be conducive.

So stealth crossdressing is an alternative - wearing women's running clothes that are androgynous or under men's clothes.  I could probably get away with running a race in these or these shorts, but probably not in these.  Maybe even these tights if another woman didn't show up in them.  Tops are a bit trickier.  This and this might be easy.  This, this and this would not, although they could be worn as a base layer in the winter.  I have worn a similar top to the first during night runs by myself.  And don't get me started on running skirts.  I love the look!  I wish more women would run in them.  However, I do love the look of a nice ass in short-shorts to run behind ;)

Lately I've been running in shorts and leg compression sleeves when the temperatures are above freezing.  These are footless compression socks that run from above the ankle to under the knee.  The compression is good for keeping cramps away and they are usually for wearing after a race.  A lot of folks wear them when running instead of wearing pants or tights.  Mine are just plain black.  They do make them in other colors for women.  These thigh-highs are pretty cool too.

Window Shopping

There's not much more frustrating for a crossdresser than to go shopping and not being able to shop for new girl-clothes.  Yesterday I went shopping at the outlet mall and I was with some family so I couldn't shop for the things I really wanted to shop for.  Each store we went to I looked at and sometimes tried on boring male clothes.  Not that I didn't need some new male clothes, but male clothes are very boring compared to women's clothes.

Take the Nike Shop as an example.  The men's clothes are mostly black with some red, white, and dark blue. The styles are loose-fitting and mundane.  The women's clothes, on the other hand, are bright and colorful, much more stylish, closer-fitting, and sexy.  With one eye looking at men's black and baggy running shorts, my other eye was checking out the colorful and shorter women's running shorts, and the bright running tops and exercise bras. How I wanted to try some of them on!

Same thing at the other stores we visited - Izod, Adidas, Bass, Jockey.  And all I could do is window shop while walking by the New York & Company, Maidenform, to name a few, as well as all the shoe stores.

On the way home someone wanted to stop by another mall.  We walked by an American Apparel store and my heart sank as I really wanted to go in and browse the women's clothes (I'm always game for a new pair of thigh-high tube socks!).  However, being a closeted CD with the family, I kept myself in check.

Yep, the next time I'm alone on a business trip and have some time to myself, I'm totally going to get my girl on and buy some new clothes!

Hope to post more!

Hi everyone (or those that haven't completely given up on reading this blog)!  My lack of posting is really bringing this blog to a slow end.  However, I do want to post more.

I know, as Yoda says, "Do or do not. There is no try."

Excuses, yes, I have a few.  None of which are relevant to posting here.  I still do visit many blogs in the course of the week.  Perhaps writing instead of surfing porn would do wonders for the blog.

I haven't had much opportunity for crossdressing as much as I'd like.  I do wear panties everyday, tho.  I'd just love to have more time/opportunity to do more than that.  A long weekend away with nothing other to wear than women's clothes and nothing more to do than shopping for more is what I really need.  And lots of sex, too.

I'm back on the marathon training schedule as I'm running another one in June.  That along with an increased work schedule will make posting tricky.  Keep reminding me to do so!
